Wildflower was founded on its unique ability to develop creative, long-term investment opportunities while making a difference in the communities we operate in.
By providing an affordable pathway to homeownership for many individuals and families and inspiring a higher standard of living, we stand to thrive in the most unlikely places like wildflowers. Founded by Karen Fan, Wildflower Communities is a privately held, vertically integrated real estate investment firm dedicated to acquiring, operating, and developing manufactured housing communities, America’s most enduring affordable housing solution.
Our mission is to provide vibrant, high quality affordable housing to our residents, empower our dedicated employees who bring our vision to life, while offering our partners attractive risk-adjusted returns, significant tax advantages, and capital appreciation. Our team blends entrepreneurial resourcefulness with institutional expertise to elevate living standards and create long-term value that can withstand and prosper through the most volatile real estate markets. Our results are thriving communities and a lasting legacy for all.
Executive Leadership
Karen Fan
Founder & CEO
Karen Fan founded Wildflower Communities on the belief that manufactured housing, done right, is one of the most important affordable housing solutions in America and that every resident deserves a well-managed, high-quality home.
Before founding Wildflower, Karen managed acquisitions for a New York family office with a portfolio exceeding $1 billion and 2 million square feet across retail, hotel, and office assets. She had previously worked in investment sales at Eastern Consolidated.
Wildflower's Florida portfolio reflects what disciplined operational execution looks like in practice: communities stabilized, thoughtfully improved, and repositioned over time. Karen leads the platform directly, from investment strategy and acquisitions to asset management and daily operations.
In 2024, she was named a Woman of Influence by GlobeSt. She holds a B.A. from the University of Michigan, and graduate degrees from Cornell University and NYU. She is an active member of the Florida Manufactured Housing Association.
Outside of work, Karen collects contemporary art and design, skis across the Alps and North America, and has traveled to all seven continents.
