Our Story

Manufactured housing, thoughtfully reimagined

Wildflower Communities was founded on a simple belief: everyone deserves a place they're proud to call home.

We believe attainable homeownership should come with more than just a home. It should come with a sense of belonging, well-maintained surroundings, and a community that residents are proud to be part of.

Since 2021, we’ve focused on acquiring and improving manufactured home communities across Florida through thoughtful management, infrastructure investment, and long-term ownership.

From repaved roads and upgraded amenities to resident events and everyday service, our goal is simple: create communities where people can put down roots and feel at home.

What We Believe

Residents Come First

We place residents at the center of every decision, creating communities that are welcoming, well-maintained, and enjoyable places to call home.

Integrity & Transparency

We believe trust is earned through clear communication, honest practices, and doing what's right even when no one is watching.

Continuous Improvement

From repaved roads and upgraded amenities to resident events and everyday service, we invest in both the communities we own and operate and the people who call them home.

Long-Term Stewardship

We are committed to long-term ownership and thoughtful management, building communities residents can rely on today and for years to come.

Meet the Founder

Wildflower_Communities_Founder_Karen Fan_Headshot

Karen Fan founded Wildflower Communities on the belief that manufactured housing, done right, is one of the most important affordable housing solutions in America, and that every resident deserves a well-managed, high-quality place to call home.

Before founding Wildflower, Karen managed acquisitions for a New York family office with a portfolio exceeding $1 billion and 2 million square feet across retail, hotel, and office assets. She previously worked in investment sales at Eastern Consolidated.

Today, Karen leads every aspect of the platform, from investment strategy and acquisitions to asset management and daily operations. Under her leadership, Wildflower’s Florida communities have been stabilized, thoughtfully improved, and repositioned around a consistent standard of quality and resident care.

In 2024, she was recognized as a GlobeSt. Woman of Influence. Karen holds a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from the University of Michigan, a Master of Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University, and an M.S. in Real Estate Development from New York University. She is also an active member of the Florida Manufactured Housing Association.

Outside of work, Karen collects contemporary art and is particularly drawn to color and work that moves her. She skis in the Alps and Colorado, plays padel, and has traveled to all seven continents. She is based in downtown New York City.

We build communities to endure.
